Turmeric Latte Also Known As Golden Milk

This beverage has been used for hundreds of years in Ayurvedic households for its nourishing and rejuvenating qualities. Turmeric is a well-known as tonic for general health and for its anti-inflammatory benefits. But what ingredients to add?

Amongst The Main Ingredients Of Milk And Turmeric You Can Spice It Up With:

• black pepper • cardamom • cinnamon • ginger • nutmeg • or even dates & coconut oil

There are three stages Ayurveda looks at: the energetics, if the substance has a cooling or heating action and last but not least the post-digestive effect. So any substance taken in has a post-digestive affect. Depending on ones constitution this beverage can be ‘spiced-up’ according to your personal needs helping you to re-balance again. Pure organic cow’s Milk is highly sattvic according to Yoga Philosophy and Ayurveda, but if you have trouble digesting milk then you can use substitutes such as almond milk, coconut milk (be careful with coconut milk as it has a cooling effect) so maybe this should be a substitute you should use more during summer time unless you are a high Pitta. So drink up with that nourishing elixir and enjoy the cozy autumn/ winter evenings to come.
